Meet Brandon

As an adolescent, I saw the effects of Alzheimer’s disease, specifically the havoc it wreaks on the diagnosed and the interruption of life it causes for caregivers, through the diagnosis of my grandmother; but I never dreamed how that would shape my adult life.

In 2015, I was faced with the realities of Alzheimer’s disease front and center when my father was diagnosed. I immediately understood that this diagnosis would change the trajectory of my life forever.

Through my dad’s diagnosis, I found my passion and inspiration to help others who are in similar situations by sharing my experiences. I believe that sharing our stories is our superpower. We realize just how connected we all are when we have the courage to open ourselves up to others. You never know how your story can impact the life of someone else until you share. It just might save them.

On November 1, 2020, I embarked on a new journey with the release of my first book, Rediscovering Dad and Discovering Myself: A Journey Through the Impact of Alzheimer’s. Join me on my journey as I share how the relationship with my father has evolved and shaped the man I have become.

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, and a graduate of Hampton University, I currently reside in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
